Mermaid Nails

My amazing, gorgeous cousin let me do this cool mermaid french-tip on her nails today!  I think it turned out good, what do you think?

New Blog?!

Hey there sparkly cupcake dragons :D

I have some news!

Next year I will be in high school and I want to start fresh in the blogging world.  This means that I am making a new blog!  It's gonna be about everything.  You might know that I currently have two blogs, one about school & life (Misadventures) and one about beauty & craziness (this one!)  My new blog will be about all that.

It is not yet open to the public, but it has tabs for different things:

I'm wearing lipgloss, can you tell?  I dunno the brand, this guy I liked gave it to me in second grade.  It's almost out but way better than any of my other glosses.  You never know with boys...

Eye makeup entirely from Bare Escentuals.  Eyeshadow: "Nude Beach", Eyeliner: "Tiger's Eye", Mascara: "Espresso"

Did these cool-beans braids by doing a normal braid and pulling it apart as much as I could short of them falling apart.  I also braided my bangs and pinned them up, but don't have a pic of it.

So you like?  I'm back to posting like a normal person now :)

so tired.

Oh my gosh guys I am so tired...cuz last night I was babysitting till 10:30.  AnyhowI got these super comfortable velour pants at Target this morning and have been freaking in love with them so I thought I'd show you.  Here are some pics of my OOTD :D

Guess who I got to photograph today?  The amazingly beautiful Aurora!! :D  She just started a blog of her own, you should totally check it out by clicking her name above haha!  Anyways she modeled and I took all the pictures.  Hope you enjoy!

We just kind of roamed around the neighborhood, took some pictures in my yard and on the road and the playing field.  It was super fun and hopefully we can do it again soon!

BOOTD

I've hereby declared all October outfit of the day posts BOOTDs in honor of Halloween :D  Here is today's outfit, which is pretty crazy and not what I usually wear, but I had fun putting it together and it's actually super comfortable!!

Here is the overall outfit

Pixar shirt: from Pixar Animation Studios (no kidding)

Denim skort: hand-me-down from Justice

Shoes: Vans

Both tights: Target

I'm wearing aqua blue tights under black tights that I ripped up myself using my swiss army knife.

Earrings: hand-me-down, don't know where they're from.

For hair I just pinned my bangs back, and left it natural.

I only put this picture because when I used an effect, it made my hair look ombre haha! 

Eye makeup, whee!!  Used golden/bronze/browns from e.l.f., eyeliner by e.l.f., and bare escentuals mascara in espresso.

Hope you liked!  Tomorrow I will have a life post, because my blogging block is starting to go away, thanks to Aurora and Erica, who have amazing pictures and are really cool in general. (And just FYI, if you type their blog addresses in google translate they're a bit easier to read.  Just be warned that translate is not very good haha)

Punk Harlequin Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Today I have a cool Halloween tutorial: Punk Harlequin!!  I was super bored one day and this happened haha!  First, I don't have a picture for this, you just put on a super light foundation to make your face look unrealistically pale, without being white which is hard to achieve easily.

Then the eyes, which are pretty simple actually :)  All you have to do is put purple shadow on the lids, then do a cat-eye with your eyeliner.  Then do a reverse cat-eye on the inner corner.  Line the lower lashline, waterline, and the crease as well.  Apply 2 coats of black mascara.  I used and elf pencil eyeliner and the purple shadow is from my elf palette.

For lips and cheeks, I used this lipstick from Lime Crime.  Use the lipstick as blush as well, make sure it is very dramatic!  This joker stands out in the crowd!

Finally for hair, I did a super deep side part, swept my hair over one eye and into a side pony.  Then (you can't see this here) I stuck on a backwards baseball hat.  Done!

Weird and Useful Beauty Tips

Hey people!!  Today I have a post of random beauty tips I've picked up.  Some of them are really cool, other ones are kinda weird haha :)  Guess I'll just jump in then!

Eyes

~Putting on clear lipgloss before eyeshadow helps keep it on longer and makes the pigments stand out better
~go to The Beauty Department for good eyeshadow tutorials based on eye color :)
~Pat, don't swipe on glitter shadow.  Swiping creates fallout, or eyeshadow falling onto your cheekbones, and it's a pain to get off!!



Nails

~Paint nail polish on tape then cut it into shapes or strips for easy nail art
~Apply nail polish in even coats (obvious, but worth mentioning)
~The more coats, the easier it chips
~Neon shows up brighter over white
~Want a dose of polish daily?  The Polish-Aholic



Hair

~Bobby pins can save your life!!
~Ponytails work in a pinch
~No time?  Braid and straighten bangs (if your bangs are wavy like mine!!)
~Fishtail braids can be easy!
~Moroccan and Argan Oil work wonders!!  Help create soft, smooth, shiny hair.  Lovely <3





Skin

~Finding the right products for your skin type really, really matters!  Going to a place like Bare Escentuals and having them do your makeup and help you with foundation and stuff is really great.  They teach you how to do it yourself too!
~For (just gonna say it) zits:
1/4 teaspoon each: nutmeg, cinnamon, honey
Mix
Apply to afflicted areas
Let sit 30 min
Wash off
NO LIE, within 7 days my super bad acne was gone.  Applied it morning/night every day for a week and the results were amazing.  Best thing?  All-natural and easy to make!

Other

~Weird but true: in a pinch, you can shave the area between your eyebrows with a razor.  Not as effective as waxing, but far less painful and much easier than plucking!
~Junk food doesn't cause acne, but eating lots of fruit/veggies keeps skin looking good!  I know you already know this of course, but definitely worth hearing again :)
~This isn't really what most people think of when they think beauty, but if you're looking for a good, quick workout?  There are tons of pilates, yoga, and cardio exercise videos on Netflix Instant Play.  They really work you haha!!

Hope this helped any of you guys in any way, if you have any other tips please comment and tell me!!  I will not be posting for about a week, because I will be on vacation.  But after that there's the whole summer!!  Because today was the last day of school!!!!!!!!!

Polka Dot Nail Art (No Special Tools Required!)

For this manicure I began with one coat of NYC Glitzy Grape Glitter

After it completely dried, I took 5 different colors (pink, green, blue, purple, and orange) of Sharpie permanent marker

and made polka dots of different sizes around the edges of my nails

Wait a few seconds for the dots to dry completely (don't want them to drag & smear) and apply a topcoat to seal in the design and add shine.
